Meet The Artists

Sophia Dubuisson (Phia)

Art has always been a part of my life. When I feel like everything is coming down I can get myself back up by escaping in art. I live LowKey by bettering myself as a person every day, by sending out positive energy and being lowkey

Art has been a part of my life from a very young age. My love of art was directly influenced by my love of comics and cartoons. The symphony of colors, sounds, and movement I experienced ignited a love that to this day have not subsided. My love for art was further cemented by school trips to the Museum of Fine Arts. I became awestruck by the way art could tell stories and invoke emotions. As someone who also has a great love of storytelling and reading this only increased arts appeal to me. I became an artist to both pursue my love for it and to share stories with others through my art. With my art, I hope to influence others to pursue their passions. I also hope that my art will help others feel that there is a space for them.

The way I live LowKey is that like the company I strive to influence my surroundings in positive ways. For example, a lot of my public art is created with the idea of representing communities that are underrepresented or ignored. A lot of my public work is also created to showcase underrepresented communities doing common activities such as playing games or telling stories. Another way I live Low Key is that I try to practice mindfulness. I strive to be present so I can be truly aware of my thoughts, emotions, and feelings without self-judgment. Although I personally do not use cannabis, my friends who do have expressed that it has helped them to calm turbulent thoughts.

When I first came to the United States I was blown away by modern gaming consoles and their graphics. Since middle school, I always wanted to learn how to create these awesome video games I kept seeing, so I started drawing. At the beginning of high school, I decided to pursue my passion for video games so I started drawing anything that came to mind. Four years later I went to college to learn about how to create video games, slowly I started to realize how much I loved drawing and creating unique concepts of art for games.

My personal brand and self are all about looking within and searching for your truth. I live lowkey on a daily basis since I often ask myself the internal questions about who I am as an artist. When I think of LowKey I think of searching for the missing piece of the puzzle, therefore, I think of oneself.

About Lowkey Dispensary

LowKey Dispensary is a retail cannabis brand that is planning to operate in several locations in the Boston area. We aim to level up each community by creating opportunities for the local residents. Our goal is to work with our community in Dorchester which has been disproportionately harmed by the past prohibition of cannabis to ensure their inclusion in the legal cannabis industry.
